  • Post category:News

Gold for Kids has triumphed at the Private Dentistry Awards, beating eight other finalists to win the Charity and Community project category for the South of the UK.

The Private Dentistry Awards recognises outstanding dentistry carried out by teams and individuals – and is judged independently by the profession.

Founders Dr Leticia Casanova and Dr David Holmes, directors of London Periodontics, Implants and Dentistry, set up the charity in 2018 and have so far raised £50,000 to help children living in poverty in the UK.

Jules Roberts, Gold for Kids Marketing Manager, said:

“It means so much to be recognised and applauded for all our hard work and we are so grateful to be selected.  Winning the award will help raise the profile of Gold for Kids and the work we do for incredibly important children’s charities here in the UK.

“A huge thanks to all our volunteers and the dentists that make the real work happen by sending us their gold crowns so we can send that crucial cash to charities like our 2023 chosen charities – Barnardo’s, the NSPCC, Transforming Lives for Good, Centrepoint, The Felix Project, Punk against Poverty CIC and the Child Poverty Action Group.”

The  Private Dentistry Awards, organised by FMC, one of the world’s major dental communications companies, took place on Friday 1st December at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
