Gold for Kids donates £2000 to homelessness charity

Gold for Kids is delighted to announce it has donated £2000 to the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, Centrepoint.

Alongside their partners, Centrepoint supports over 16,000 young people every year and is campaigning to end youth homelessness by 2037.

“On behalf of Centrepoint I’d like to express my sincerest thanks to Gold for Kids for your kind donation of £2000.  We really appreciate all you and your supporters have done to raise funds through recycling waste dental gold crowns!

“This winter, it is estimated that 24,400 young people will face homelessness across England.  Donations like yours will help give a young person safety and stability, but also the opportunity to achieve their Education, Employment and Training (EET) aspirations.  With incredible supporters like you, Centrepoint can do even more to help homeless young people make a positive turning point in their lives. On their behalf and ours, thank you!”

Miranda Harman,  Head of Mass Participation & Events

Meanwhile, at Gold for Kids, we are hoping that 2024 will bring us more opportunities to help Centrepoint and other charities like it, who are improving the lives of children and young people right across the UK.

If you would like to donate your unwanted crowns and bridges to Gold for Kids or if you have any old, unwanted or broken gold, silver, platinum or palladium jewellery, please email info@goldforkids.org for more information and to request a collection.
